Steering Wheels are the most imperative part of all modern land vehicles including automobiles along with heavy and light trucks. Today, most of the cars are equipped with computer controlled motors. Such steering can be better called as Electric Power Steering.
These are mainly used on some SUVs and trucks. There is a connection between end of the steering rod and threaded rod that is fitted into a threaded block of metal that rotates on turning the Steering Wheel. This metal block with threads transfers this rotation to pitman arm to tie rods and track rods which in turn rotates the wheels. There are ball bearings present between the teeth of the block that re-circulates through the gear when it turns.
